You will take invitations to a range of interesting eccl events throughout the year. Or that 9.8 of Queen slanders speak a language other than English at home? eccl has been working directly with Queensland’s many communities since 1976. Every year, we assist thousands of people from all backgrounds, across all of Queensland. Our focus is supporting and advocating for the needs, interests and contributions of culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Queensland. We also know that diversity and inclusion builds stronger communities. Communities characterized by cooperation, believe and sharing of cultures. Whether it’s busy alongside culturally diverse communities through our urge and education programs, or seeking equality around access to services, eccl is supporting Queensland’s growth into an inclusive and harmonious community for everyone to enjoy and participate in. We’re directly busy with Queensland’s local culturally diverse communities and their associations to address and support their needs. We’re busy with government at all levels to increase the responsiveness of Queensland’s systems and services to meet the needs of these communities. A person’s health is important to their entire physical, mental and social healthy being. We’re providing cross cultural training and consulting services to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness and leadership to urge inclusion and ensure access and equity in service delivery. All individuals should be treated with dignity and respect. To precede the development and participation of multicultural communities in Queensland through advocacy, support, services and capacity building. Leadership: Provide a legitimate voice for multicultural communities through advocating and representing their rights, needs and interests. Community Development: Resource and facilitate the development of multicultural communities throughout Queensland and to enhance their skill to represent and respond to the needs of their community members. Research Innovation: Drive the development of an evidence based advocacy and service delivery functions of the organization through the acquisition of data, evidence and knowledge about the lived experience of Queensland’s multicultural communities. Service Excellence: Maintain and further prosper services that meet the needs of Queensland’s multicultural communities through models of leading practice in multicultural services. Sustainability: Achieve ongoing financial viability and sustainability. Our volunteers are a different group of people who are passionate about helping the community. Each year, they offer their time, energy and skills to a wide range of our core programs. By volunteering with eccl, you will be making a real contribution to Queensland’s growth as an inclusive society that supports participation from all people no matter their background.
