Approximately 30 of our students speak one or more languages dialects other than English, which provides our school with a marvelous richness of language and culture. Our school is also unique in being the only state primary school in Townsville which has a swimming pool on the school grounds. There are a number of proactive behavior programs operating at Aitkenvale. It helps students engage with school, creates appropriate citizens and even helps them progress in other urgent learning areas such as maths and English. There are many activities you can do with your children which are inexpensive and appropriate fun. Reading is an urgent skill which is developed through experiences with a wide variety of texts. Here we had a picnic lunch and played in the water. The reported incidence of bullying decreases with age. I do know that we are fortunate to have relatively small numbers of bullying incidents and maximum of this bullying is considered low level’ bullying. Children need to hear a thousand stories before they can start to learn to read. Play games with the things that you and the kid can see on the page, such as letting kids complete rhymes, and finding the letters that begin the child’s name and yours, remembering that it’s never work, it’s always a marvelous game. It provides a incredible opportunity to get to know your child, to share things that have happened during their day or impartial share a glad moment. Thankyou to the many people who helped out during these days, as without your assist the days would not have run so smoothly. As they move into Kindergarten the focus shifts to individual sounds in words. There is a splendid variety of fresh and wholesome foods available which will not only present your children the nutrition essential for well growth and development, but will expose them to the merriment of learning about and preparing healthy meals a great lifelong habit! Researching and experimenting with different types of well spreads is a fun activity. Students are enjoying the intensive approach to learning as it is clear, uninterrupted and has a calming and supportive feel. Any way you look at things this is a huge initiative for our school. You can create a similar learning environment at home with the latter ideas: Make a regular time to read together and don’t quit reading TO your child when they can read themselves they love listening to a suited reader. Throughout the year the Student Council will yield lunch time activities. Boys need men reading to them from an hasty age and helping them learn to read, so they grow up seeing reading as a legitimate male activity. Listening is all that’s required to help him flourish a positive attitude to reading. Research shows that if a father(or other male role model) reads to his son for five minutes a day, his literacy skills will improve.
